The following upgrade is available for the Slitter/Scorer Razorset:

Quickset® Slitter/Scorers that were originally manufactured with shear-type tooling (two rotating blades pinched together to slit) can easily be upgraded to MarquipWardUnited Thin-Blade Razorset slitting for an immediate improvement in quality and run-ability. Shear type tooling crushes the board edge, create excessive dust and contributes to edge delamination of doublewall.

Upgrading to the patented Razorset slitting concept can provide a number of unique advantages over conventional shear type tooling.  These advantages will enhance your profitability.

  • Eliminates Edge Delamination
    This allows increased corrugator speeds when running doublewall.
     
  • Improves Conversion Efficiency
    The clean, square board edge reduces feed table jams and misfeeds.
  • Minimizes Dust
    Dust on boards and in the air is dramatically reduced with the very thin blade and rolling anvil. Cleaner boards allow a dramatic reduction in the number of flexo wash ups and a corresponding.
  • Increase in Flexo Productivity
  • Improves Print Quality
    Cleaner boards enhance print quality. No edge crush allows printing up to the slit edge.
  • Improves Product Aesthetics
    The clean Razorset edge can differentiate your product.

    The uncrushed, square edge feeds without skew and provides an improved spanking surface.

    Research shows that Razorset-slit boards can provide greater box TBC.

The Razorset Upgrade includes:

  • New head castings with individual blade sharpeners and lubricators
  • Thin-blade slit tooling.
  • Adjustable, rotating lower anvils that pinch the blade at the point of contact for superior board support and the ultimate slit quality.
  • New slit tolling drive.
  • Trim chute nozzles designed specifically for thin blade applications.
  • New guarding.
