Job Summary

Field sales of equipment for the corrugated and sheeter industries. Includes customer visits, proposal generation, equipment measure-up, work order generation, regular follow-up, and account maintenance. Regular interaction and communication with other functional departments, primarily internal sales, design engineering and field service

Responsibilities
  • • Make field sales calls on new accounts primarily within the assigned region.
  • • Be aware of customer equipment purchase dates and pursue a vigorous follow-up program with intensive contact as the equipment decision date approaches.
  • • Communicate with sales management as required to formulate a winning sales strategy.
  • • Maintain regular contact and interaction with existing customers to determine and ensure customer satisfaction and needs are being addressed.
  • • Generate requested proposals for potential customers interacting as needed with other functional departments to provide the best possible and most accurate proposal.
  • • Generate site-specific proposal “measure-up” information to support customer proposals.
  • • Generate “Contract Acceptance Summary” for all projects sold in territory for management’s acceptance and approval.
  • • Generate work orders (company communication tool) for all sold projects, including accurate equipment measure-ups.
  • • Regular and timely customer follow-up and interaction to insure prompt review and approval of customer provided information.
  • • Work closely with the other functional departments and facilitate project closure with the customer.
  • • Assist in generation of marketing documents as requested, such as position papers, benefit letters, brochures, etc.
  • • Keep informed and current on new products/services and other general information of interest to company’s customers.
  • • Refer complaints to the appropriate department of the organization.
  • • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Experience

Must have familiarity with Capitol Equipment sales.

  • • Familiarity with corrugated and/or folding carton manufacturing operations and equipment.
  • • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • • Computer proficiency required. Microsoft tools familiarity a plus.
Skills

The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, persuasive, intelligent and well educated. The individual’s personal style will need to be suited to a culture which is team based, entrepreneurial, fast paced, value-driven with high corporate standards. The individual will need to be very comfortable working in a lean, matrixed, highly customer focused organization with strong ethical standards.

Travel

This position expects a minimum of 3 days of travel per week and may work out of a home office.
